How Garment Remodelling Works
Every remodelling project begins with a clear inquiry and a careful assessment of the garment and its fabric. We review the condition, construction, seam allowances, and the fit goals before discussing what can realistically be achieved.
During the redesign consultation, we outline the concept, the scope of work, and the quote. For upcycling projects, we also consider which original details can be retained and how the available material may shape the final result.
From careful assessment to final fit review
A practical look at how TailorCraft turns existing garments into wearable new pieces.
Once the design is approved, the workshop moves into remodelling work. This may include dress and skirt remodelling, shirt and jacket restyling, vintage-garment fit updates, or fabric-reuse accessory projects, depending on the garment and the plan.
At collection, the garment is checked again for fit or finish, and any small final adjustment is handled carefully within the agreed design. Care and pressing notes are provided so the finished piece can be worn and maintained with confidence.
